These tea towels are made from soft organic cotton. They are large, measuring 30X30 but lightweight enough to dry quickly. These are great to dry hands, and dishes, and work especially well to remove spots off glassware.
The three designs include:
BEE The Change- Inspired by Mahatma Ghandi's famous quote,“Be the change you want to see in the world.”
Organic. (period)- This design speaks to the BEST agricultural methods for water for food and products grown from plants, like cotton and linen.
Water is Life- This whimsical wave design says it all. Without water, no living organisms can survive. The reason I wanted the words expressed in the shape of the wave was intentional because a wave is made of many small drops of water. Each of our small actions, like opting for organic cotton, or wasting less food, add up to a powerful wave that will protect our water and LIFE on this planet.
WHY ORGANIC COTTON?
Conventional cotton is considered the dirtiest crop on earth. It consumes 16% of the world's insecticides and requires $2 Billion in pesticides each year. Pesticides and insecticides used in cotton production contaminate the soil we use to grow crops, the air we breathe, & the water we drink. The deaths of animals exposed to these contaminants are counted in the millions every year.
ORGANIC cotton is grown without harmful chemicals, leaving the soil, air, and water free from contaminants that cause harm. It produces 46% less CO2 compared to conventional cotton. Organic cotton growers typically utilize more rain (green water) than irrigation. Many people with skin problems report a dramatic improvement in their skin condition once they switched to organic.
The tea towels are made in India and are screen-printed in Ventura, California.
